Basics of Sanding a gymnasium hardwood floor to bare wood and Graduate the sanding process down to a super smooth burnish which is a glazing of the raw maple floor surface.
Above showing the Clarke American Twelve Hardwood floor Sanding Machine which is a legend in itself
starting with Paper number 4 is 16 grit sanding paper the sanding will be run at nearly 45 degrees on high tension and a a dead crawl walk pace
Next its paper #3&1/2 a 20 grit sand paper run this with a little less tension about the same crawl walking speed the opposed 45 degree path
Next is Number 3 a 24 grit sanding paper run this still with nearly a full turn back from where were on the tension settings run this paper at a slow walk at 5-7 degrees
Next run #2 paper A 36 grit take off 1/2 turn tension, regular sanding speed this sanding the opposed 5-7 Degree Path
Fill your floor now with troiwellable maple hardwood floor filler like Wood Wise or Dura seal
Take the filler off With #1/2paper a 60 Grit sanding paper, about same speed the thirty six paper was run and keep the tension the same as it was for the 36 pass
Fill the maple floor for the last time
Run your 100 grit or number#00, your machine should start running not walk speed
finally take your new 100 grit paper start your machine and swipe across the drum while running twice or three times straight across
now run this burnish paper approximately the same speed with slightly more drum about 8 inch at a time.
Overlaid Game court Markings are not the typical way to have your game courts markings
